About

Standkeep is made by LOONIELODGE INC., a federal Canadian corporation with a sole director — which is to say, by exactly the kind of company it is built for.

Why it exists

A small corporation's filing calendar is not complicated, but it is scattered, and it punishes forgetting. The annual return runs from one date, the tax filings from another, GST/HST from periods you set yourself. Nobody sends a reminder. The penalty for losing track quietly for two years is that Corporations Canada can dissolve the company. That is a solvable problem, and solving it well needs care about sources rather than cleverness.

How it is built

Every deadline is a versioned rule with a government source, a citation and an in-force date, validated before it can ship and stored separately from the code that reads it. No deadline is typed into a page. When a government source is genuinely ambiguous, the ambiguity is recorded in the rule and shown to you, because a confident wrong date is worse than an honest open question.

What it tracks

What it refuses to do

It does not file on your behalf, it does not store your credentials, it does not interpret the law for your situation, and it does not calculate tax. Those limits are what let it be trusted with the calendar in the first place, and they are written into the product rather than left to judgement.

Standkeep, by LoonieLodge

An endorsement, not a merger. Standkeep is its own product on its own domain, so it can stand or move on its own; LoonieLodge is who is behind it.
